EDM PRIVATE RESIDENCE

The client’s main request for the design of his private residence was, beyond functionality, the creation of an impressive main entrance.

The ground floor which is developed in an L shape, consists of the kitchen, the dining room, a playroom and a living room. The double height of the living room, in combination with the large openings, allows natural lighting as well as the cross ventilation of the area, integrating the inside with the outside, facilitating a visual of the garden from everywhere inside the house. The volume of the first floor consists of sleeping areas and a laundry room. Parts of the first floor areas are uniquely located in such a way so as to cover the ground floor veranda, creating shade for daylight hours.

A unique combination of different materials of the best quality was utilized for long lasting as well as optically pleasing results.
